OSH KOSH BAGOSH LOOK WHO IS DONE WITH THEIR JUNIOR PIECE

Wow what a ride!! My junior piece is finally done. I am so happy to be comepleted with my first film. I  really enjoyed the process late nights and all. I grew from my piece alot and I can't wait to utilize my new skills for my senior piece ! "BUT TRACEY " you might say "When are you gonna finally post your awesome film on your blog?" that's a great question I'd reply right after the junior/ sophomore show next week. My preimere is a big deal to me and it means a lot to keep it under wraps till then so I can gauge my success though the audiences reactions. I also have family coming from far to see the piece so yes the internet will have to wait. Although I am done with my junior piece I will still be using this blog to post my art and progress of my senior piece !!! You must be thinking I just finished a film Tracey! Why would you want to go immediately back into production?  Only a mad man would animate themselves to death. To that I say "anksdjbfkjabdkfgbakfbkabdfkjbjabekrk -raspberries-" My senior piece will involve mermaids, magic, flying fish, and soursop trees. Get ready for Atelamise and the Soursop Tree Uarts 2014. For this piece I really want to explore the movement of the human figure. Eric Goldberg came to my school last week and said some things that really struck home with me. One of those things was  "Test your character to push their intent and their thoughts and their emotions it should all be reflected in how they move. Try out a lots of ways till one works. This next piece will combine all my favorite parts of animation. Figures. Acting. Story. Speaking of figures I will be posting daily sketches starting next week and do sketch challenges throughout the summer. It's gonna be a good time making art here on my blog. Let the summer fun begin!!  Let start with a recent self portrait.

Sounds

For my films sound I am hoping to go for a clean modern sound that matches the aesthetic. My sound inspirations include but are not limited to  modern musics producers such as Starslinger, bear/face and Mr. little jeans. They mix and refix music to make a unique sound that you definitely don't hear on the radio. My film will be heavy musical with environmental elements.

Spring time

This is a lovely day to be ahead of schedule ! The weather is glamourous and I am officially done with all my animation and I am editing in post. Bye bye late nights hello sunlight. I notice that little things here and there need correcting but nothing major.  I have my close friend Brady Kilagannon working on my music we have worked together before and we really vibe. Brady specializes in sound design and composing for film. For this project we are getting some music direction assistance from my friend Adam Samson he makes producers music and lots cool sound mixing  as well as motion graphics. My friends are too talented for this realm of mortal art. It gives me the confidence I need as we drive closer and closer to my may 8th premiere. I will be posting backgrounds soon for your viewing pleasure.

• What is your biggest time management challenge, and what is your plan for dealing with it from here through the end of the semester?

• Which of your classmates’ films do you particularly like? Why? What is the strongest element of their piece? Where would you make suggestions?

My friend Eun Ock has a great film in the works right now. It is about ducks and food two of my favorite subjects. I love the adorable storyline and charming characters. I  can't say I have any suggestions for her. Just do your best and finish as soon as possible I cant wait to see it. 

My biggest time management challenge was not having enough time to work in the studio. I need the internet to use my programs and I don't have internet at home. This recently has been overcome because the studios have officailly become 24hrs !!!! Now I can cast the world aside and crawl into a a dark, warm, coffee filled and snack filled cocoon free of mortal pleasure such as daylight, human contact and other pleasantry to focus on my animation. I think with all this extra studio time I been given I can get alot done and there is def alot to do. Lighting,editing,composing,sound editting etc. I think time is a enemy to us all .... we should rid the world of it once and for all. I am off to fight time.
